[Challenge the Frontier]
The thing that I probably enjoyed most about working at camp was the challenge course. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the kids, the nature programs, the chapel, and the creek hikes. The thing that I loved the most and felt most in control and at ease when I was leading was the challenge course. Sometimes when I worked with the outdoor education groups there were times when I wanted to pull my hair out. But before we left the challenge course I always felt like I had made a difference in the way that a young person realized that they could do something that they would have seen as impossible when the challenge was presented. It is always amazing to me too that sometimes groups that seem to really hate each other can quickly bind together and get tasks done with the right guidance.
